Wedding Promise

I can't promise you a life of sunshine;
I can't promise riches, wealth, or gold;
I can't promise you an easy pathway
Which leads away from change or growing old.
But I can promise all my heart's devotion;
A smile to chase away your tears of sorrow;
A love that's ever true and ever growing;
A hand to hold in yours through each tomorrow.
Yes, I'll Marry You.

Absence

My love is like the sun that warms me when I am cold,
And like the cool water of the brook that refreshes me.

 My love knows the secret pleasures of my soul,
And delights with me in fulfilling them.

Can't Live Without You

You're always on my mind, day and night.  When I think of you, all feels so right.  Need to have you, need to hold you.  And tell you that I love you. My dear, I don't want to see us apart.  This separation just tears away my heart.  I miss you, oh, I really miss you.  Will need you more and more each day. I know I cannot live without you I miss you, more than words can say.

I Miss You

I miss you so much it hurts, my love
I miss you with every fiber of my being
I miss you like there is no tomorrow, my dove
I miss you fervently, it's all my loving.
I miss you with my entire heart
I wish we were no longer apart.

A POEM FOR A SPECIAL SOMEONE

You are my inspiration, having you in my life, revived my sleeping devotion,
You are indeed a special someone

Loving you gives me hope, to free this misery that I coped, in those times
I gave up You came and I stood up

PUT THE GLASS DOWN TODAY

Once A professor began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it. He held it up for all to see; asked the students, “How much do you think this glass weighs?’50gms!’ ?….’100gms!’ ……’125gms’ ……the students answered. I really don’t know unless I weigh it,’ said the professor, ‘but, my question is: What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?’ Nothing’ the students said.
OK what would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?’ the professor asked. Your arm would begin to ache’ said one of the students. You’re right, now what would happen if I held it for a day?’
